It won’t cost Prince Edward County council a cent to create a shore land management plan for East Lake.
The plan is expected the be paid for through a Trillium Foundation grant and a big financial contribution from the owners of the Sandbanks Summer Village. Friends of East Lake are spearheading the effort.
Athol ward Councillor Jamie Forrester says it’s important to support this since right now “we have no idea what the water quality is”.
Council last night voted unanimously to support the project.
