Water is home to a countless number of organisms, and the Bay of Quinte is no exception.
The Remedial Action Plan group has been running a Habitat Enhancement Program for about three years with federal and provincial funding.
Spokesperson Sarah Midlane-Jones says there are now five categories of projects open to landowners on the Bay of Quinte.
All a landowner has to do is call either the Quinte or Lower Trent conservation authority and ask about the Habitat Enhancement Program.
They may soon have a new fence, shore design or other improvement paid for by the government to help local fish and waterfoul have a healthy place to live.
