The results of the provincial review of the feed-in-tariff program are less favourable than had been hoped for the solar industry.
Scott Phipps is the CEO of Solar Science, which is currently building a plant in Picton. Phipps says the FIT program changes announced today by the minister of energy were surprising.
He says his company is still going ahead with its plans for Picton, but they’re going to take a much more cautious approach now.
Solar Science has laid concrete footings for its plant in Picton but was waiting to order the steel beams to construct the building until after today’s announcement.
