Come and enjoy a family friendly hike at the Quinte Conservation Area on August 20 at 6:30 pm. Education Coordinator Maya Navrot will take hikers on an informative journey uncovering nature’s mysteries as they explore this public green space.
Navrot explains, “This hike will introduce families and people of all ages to the wonders of nature at the Quinte Conservation Area. This area offers an abundance of recreational opportunities. Trails wind through the former farm, past fragrant orchards, open meadows and scenic woodlands. Anyone planning on coming should wear close-toed shoes and bring bug spray and their curiosity.”
This hike is part of the Conservation Ontario Healthy Hikes program. Hikers can ask Maya Navrot for a participation code at the end of the hike. Participants can then register online at http://www.healthyhikes.ca/ for a chance to win prizes.
