SWANA Ontario with the help of dedicated partners offers three $1,000 scholarships to students each year, focused on improving and understanding contemporary waste management practices and systems.
Kalun ‘Cliff’ Chan Scholarship
The Region of Halton and the Ontario Chapter of the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) are offering this scholarship to encourage students studying in disciplines related to solid waste management and environmental protection. This scholarship is in memory of Cliff Chan, the Director of Solid Waste Management for the Region of Halton and a Director of the Ontario Chapter of SWANA until his untimely death in November 2000.
Tarpul Scholarship
2228089 Ontario Inc. and the Ontario Chapter of the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) are offering a $1000.00 scholarships to students studying and undertaking research in disciplines related to solid waste disposal and environmental protection. This scholarship is to assist students in furthering the profession of waste management.
Halliday Scholarship
2228089 Ontario Inc. and the Ontario Chapter of the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) are offering a $1000.00 scholarships to students studying and undertaking research in disciplines related to solid waste disposal and environmental protection. This scholarship is in memory of Michael Halliday, the Director of Landfill Operations for Laidlaw Waste Systems Ltd.
