TransCanada Corporation is filing a regulatory application for one of the biggest infrastructure projects in Canadian history.
It says the application for the proposed $12 billion Energy East pipeline that would ship Alberta crude to export terminals in Quebec and New Brunswick runs to 30,000 pages.
The application is an important step in TransCanada’s efforts to get approval for the project, which has raised concerns among local communities and environmental groups who worry about the potential for leaks.
