Police have arrested at least a dozen people on Burnaby Mountain in B-C who were protesting a pipeline expansion.
They claim people who had set up an anti-pipeline encampment near Vancouver were violating a court injunction ordering protesters to clear the way for work crews to return to the area.
The activists are opponents of Kinder Morgan’s proposed plan to expand its Trans Mountain pipeline.
The expanded pipeline would triple capacity to transport Alberta oil to a terminal in Burnaby through a tunnel in the mountain.
