Quinte Conservation officially cut the ribbon on on the Parrott trail at the Potter’s Creek Conservation area along Old Highway Two in Quinte West on Friday.
The fully accessible three kilometres of trail allows everyone to get close to the bay and enjoy the waterfront.
Quinte Conservation’s Jennifer May Anderson has been the driving force behind this initiative.
Member of the Quinte West accessibility committee June Kennedy cut the ribbon on the trail. She says this has been a long time coming.
The Parrott Foundation donated $250,000 towards the trail and Quinte Conservation kicked in the remaining $50,000.
