Prince Edward County council will get a look at the new comprehensive plan for East Lake, at its committee of the whole meeting Thursday.
Quinte Conservation general manager Terry Murphy says the plan, prepared along with the Friends of East Lake and of a consultant over the past year, is aimed at protecting the lake in the future.
He says it’s about not misusing the lake.
The lake is in good shape and the idea is to educate people about how to keep it that way.
Murphy hopes to have county council endorse the plan, and use it as a guide for any future development on East Lake.
