Quinte Conservation is hiring contract positions for the Coastal Wetland and Enhanced Marsh Monitoring programs.
The Bay of Quinte was designated as an Area of Concern (AOC) in 1985 followed by the establishment of a Remedial Action Plan (RAP) under the Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement. Part of the AOC designation involved the impairment of wildlife populations and habitats.
Currently, the Bay of Quinte RAP is preparing to change its AOC status. To do so, they must be able to demonstrate that there are no impairments to wildlife populations and habitats. The work outlined in this contract will contribute valuable data towards future assessments of this impairment.
