Master gardener, teacher and TV personality Sean James will be talking about biodiversity and recreating an ecosystem at the Picton Town Hall Wednesday night.
It’s part of a free lecture series called Nova Scotia Summer – 120 year old Mill Pond biodiversity overhaul hosted by the Prince Edward County Gardner and Horticulture Society. Mini Show Competitions include: Displaying seedlings in a pot (veggie or flowers) and Design “April Showers” – a hanging design.
Gardening has been Sean James’ hobby and profession for over 30 years.
A graduate of Niagara Parks School of Horticulture, Master Gardener, public speaker, writer and teacher Sean focuses on eco-gardening techniques, which makes sense sine he grew up surrounded by nature near Crawford Lake. He sits on several environmental committees and has appeared on many television and radio shows. Sean ran Fern Ridge Landscaping and Eco-consulting for over 20 years, recently handing it over to his leadership team. He now owns ‘Sean James Consulting and Design,’ focusing on teaching, speaking, writing, designing and consulting.
The lecture is happening at the Picton Town Hall (above the old Fire Hall) at 7 p.m. Wednesday April 26.
It’s open to all with donations gratefully received.
There will be refreshments and a 50/50 draw.
