Smith: stop wasting clean energy

The Energy Critic for the Ontario government, says we are wasting a ton of renewable energy every year in the province.

Thursday at Queen’s Park, MPP Todd Smith, PC Leader Patrick Brown and the Ontario Society of Professional Engineers held a press conference.

They focused on the amount of wasted clean energy in Ontario.

Todd Smith says the energy wasted in 2016 is staggering.

He adds that is equal to $1 billion annually, all while we export two million homes worth of electricity, at a cheaper price than it costs to produce.

The province is currently in the middle of finalizing their long term energy plan.
