It was a scorcher yesterday (Sunday) and we have a new high temperature record to prove it.
The mercury climbed to a sweltering 29.6 degrees celsius according to Environment Canada and readings taken at CFB Trenton.
That high surpassed the previous record for a September 16 of 28.9 degrees, set way back in 1941.
Meanwhile, the lowest temperature ever recorded on the date was + 1.1 degrees, which occurred in 1959.
