There is a new high temperature record in the Quinte region for an October 9.
According to Environment Canada and readings taken at CFB Trenton, the mercury rose to 25.2 degrees
celsius yesterday, eclipsing the previous record of 24.6 degrees which was set in 2003.
Meanwhile, it will be another warm day today with forecast highs of 26 degrees. If it gets that hot we’ll have
another high temperature record.
The current record for an October 10 is 25 degrees, set way back in 1949.
