The annual Quinte trash bash is back!
Can you spare 20 minutes to help your community by picking up litter from roadside, parks and sidewalks? All you need to do is decide where you want to pick and organizers will provide the supplies and litter drop-off locations.
Last year, across the four municipalities of Belleville, Prince Edward County, Quinte West and Tyendinaga Township, 2,780 community volunteers filled 8.5 large dumpsters with trash and filled 24 recycling carts with recyclables.
Total Collection for 2018:
1,208 Bags of Garbage
90 Bags of Recycling
Group/Business Challenge: Many groups participated this year but the Top performers this year were the:
- Belleville Volunteer Firefighters
Schools Challenge: There was fierce competition between Schools this year.
With a whopping 550 volunteers, Harmony Public School was our most engaged challenger. Congratulations!
An honourable mention goes to Quinte Secondary School and their leadership class for organizing another successful pick-up station!
Once again there is the community challenge and the business and schools challenge.
