Buy a Re-usable mug, billions of one-time use coffee cups end up in landfills every year. Ditch the wax-coated cup and plastic lid and buy a re-usable cup. Many shops offer a discount for bringing your own cup! Or if you’re brewing at home this way you can take it with you.
Compost your coffee grounds, coffee grounds are an awesome addition to your backyard compost heap, or they can go in your local green bin.
Use a re-usable coffee filter, cut down on paper use by getting a re-usable filter. Or if you’re using paper, it can go right in the compost with the grounds.
Shop around, look for coffee shops that sell sustainably produced coffee.
