New maps at Great Lakes Waterfront Trail unveiled

The City of Quinte West unveiled new Great Lakes Waterfront Trail maps at the entrance to Fraser Park and Centennial Park in Trenton last week.

The maps show the trail spanning from Sault Ste. Marie to the Quebec border as well as highlight local Quinte West recreation destinations, including the Millennium Trail, the Lower Trent Trail, the Batawa and Trenton trails, and a cycling route from Quinte West to Belleville.

The unveiling was part of the Great Waterfront Trail Adventure tour event last week.

“It was great to see so many cyclists enjoying all that Quinte West has to offer on the first day of the GWTA,” said Quinte West Mayor Jim Harrison in a release.

“Whether walking, riding, or cycling, we have many scenic trails in our community, and it was a pleasure to welcome the GWTA to beautiful Quinte West.”
